Invites Micro Research papers for 2008-09
Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (formerly The Indian Institute of Bankers) was established in 1928 and is working with a mission “to develop professionally qualified competent bankers and finance professionals primarily through a process of education, training, examination, consultancy/ counselling and continuing professional development programme”.
One of the objectives of the Institute is to promote and undertake research relating to operation, products, instruments, processes, etc. in banking and finance and to encourage innovation and creativity among finance professionals. Encouraged by the overwhelming response to the first initiative made in 2004-05 and subsequent years, IIBF now invites research papers for the year 2007-08. The competition is open to continuing life members of IIBF only.
Members of the Institute are free to submit papers on original ideas on any topic in any of the areas of banking or finance. Some of the indicative areas in which papers may be contributed are: Financial Literacy, Structured Products, Banking Technology, Remittance Services, Online Banking Services, Cross selling of financial products, HR innovations, Work-Life Balance.
The papers will be judged on their content/relevance and originality. The authors of the accepted papers will be rewarded with a citation and cash prize ranging from Rs. 3,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- depending on the merit of the paper. All other authors whose articles are identified as good but not eligible for cash prize will be awarded a certificate of commendation. The remaining participants will be given participation certificates. In case of extraordinarily meritorious paper/s, the concerned member/s may be sponsored for future research in the subject.
All the interested members of the Institute are requested to submit micro research papers with the word limit of 5000 words or 10 – 12 pages (A4/ Times New Roman / Font size 12).
The last date for submission of the papers is 31st July 2008. Submissions must quote the membership number of the member submitting the paper. Applications without membership numbers will not be considered. The papers, along with a soft copy in a floppy/CD, may be sent by courier or post to:
