Eligibility
These examinations are open to the members of the Institute who are in employment of the Institutions who are members of the Institute provided individual subscription is not in arrears. Recently all these examinations have been opened to the non-members also who wish to make a career in Banking/ Finance, Treasury and Risk Management, Mutual Funds, Capital Markets etc.
The candidates must have passed the matriculation examination or its equivalent. However, the Institute may, at its dicretion, allow any candidate from clerical or supervisory staff cadre to appear at the examination on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank / the officer in charge of the bank's office where he / she is working even if he / she is not a matriculate or its equivalent.
Subordinate staff of recognised Banking / Financial Institutions in India, who are members of the Institute and derive the benefits of the membership, can appear at these examinations. They cannot however, appear at any examinations of the Institute. A candidate can apply for one Diploma at a time.
With reference to the requirements above a candidate must submit a certificate in the form incorporated in the Examination Application Form regarding his / her employment in the Bank / financial Institutions Signed by the Manager or Head of the Department in which the candidate is serving.
 
Diploma in Mutual Fund Management

The program is open to all those who are working in Mutual Funds, Banks, registered Non-Banking Finance Companies and Housing Finance Companies. It is not compulsory for any applicant or his employer to be a member of the Institute.

All the above Diploma Examinations are also open to the non-members. They would not be however eligible to get the benefits of less examination fees. For examination fee details, please see Fees.
 
Associate Diploma in Banking
MEMBER OF IIB, WHO IS:
a) i) An Officer of a bank in MMGS III or its equivalent cadre and above.
  OR
  ii) An Officer who has completed twelve years of service, as an officer irrespective of Grade
  AND
b) Who is a Graduate and above Thirty-Two years of age is eligible to apply for the Associate Diploma in Banking Examination.
   
However members who have passed CAIIB Examination will not be eligible to apply for this examination.
