Associates
 

Associates shall be elected by the Executive Committee /Council. An applicant to be eligible to be considered for election must -
 
i be an Officer for a period of 5 years in a bank or financial institution mentioned in Article 8(b);
ii have passed the CAIIB Examination of the Institute;
iii have completed five years after passing CAIIB Examination or completed two years after passing CAIIB and obtained three credits from Group "B" and/or Group "C"
iv be a continuing member of the Institute and has participated in the seminars held by the Institute and/or presented or published papers on subjects of interest in the field of banking and finance and/or obtained any other diplomas/certificate of the Institute and/or fulfil such other criteria as the Council may lay down from time to time;
v apply for Associate Membership through his/her employer with their recommendation
 

The three Groups for professional qualifications/CPD programmes for awarding credits are as under:
 
(1) Group "A" CAIIB - compulsory qualification
(2) Group "B"

Certificate/Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma/CAIIB-linked MBA Examinations of IIBF - One credit for each subject of the Examination. Credit for examination will be awarded only on completion of the examination and awarding the Certificates. Pass in a subject without completing the course will not entitle to a credit.

(3) Group "C"

Research Scholarship awarded/Research Papers accepted/Participation in the seminars, Conferences (national and international) organized or nominated by the Institute/Working as a Resource Person for taking classes/Speakers in the Seminar, Conferences/Writing study materials, Books/Setting Question Papers/Contributing Articles/Papers for publication, etc. for the Institute -One credit for each subject approved/accepted by IIBF.
 
Membership Fees

Life Membership fee for Associate Member is Rs.3,000/-

The applicant may forward the application in the prescribed form, duly filled/completed in all respects, together with the Demand Draft of requisite fee, to the Corporate Office, Mumbai.
