NOTICE TO STUDENTS TAKING THE DIPLOMA IN BANKING & FINANCE
EXAMINATION OF THE INSTITUTE.

 

1. With effect from May 2009 examination the rules for the Diploma in Banking & Finance Examination have been changed as under:

(a) Passing Criteria: Candidates needs to pass the examination in 2 consecutive attempts with minimum of 50 marks in each subject. In case any candidate is able to score minimum 45 marks in each subject and minimum of 150 marks for all 3 subjects in one single attempt will also be declared pass as per the existing rules.

(b) Time Limit: In case a candidate is not able to pass all 3 papers in 2 consecutive attempts, he would be required to apply afresh.

(c) Enrolment and Examination fees: Institute has discontinued the process of paying the Enrolment fees and examination fees separately. Candidates are now required to pay an amount of Rs.3200/- at the time of enrolment which includes enrolment fee for the course, examination fee for the first attempt and fee for the e-learning on Core Banking Solutions (CBS). For subsequent attempt the examination fee is Rs.800/-.The candidates are required to purchase the study kits for the course from Macmillan India Ltd, at their outlets. The name and addresses of the Publisher’s outlets are given in the Institute’s website www.iibf.org.in.

2. Candidates enrolled up to Dec. 2008 and have applied for examination so far :

Candidates who have paid Rs.3,200/- as enrollment fee and have applied for examination by paying examination fee of Rs.1,800/- for any of the previous examinations up to Dec.2008 are permitted to appear at May/June 2009 examination without paying any examination fee. Credit for subjects/s passed, if any, in their immediate previous attempt will be taken into account for the purpose of May/June 2009 examination.

3. Candidates enrolled up to Dec. 2008 and have not applied for examination so far:

Candidates who have paid Rs.3,200/- as enrollment fee and have not applied for examination must apply for the May/June 2009 or Dec. 2009 examination. Examination fee for this will be Rs.800/- per attempt. In case any candidate does not apply for examination till Dec. 2009 examination, his previous enrollment will stand cancelled and he/she needs to apply afresh by paying Rs.3200/- as mentioned in 1(c) above.

4. Last date for submission of enrollment cum exam form is 7th March 2009 for May 2009 exam.
