The ordinary membership of the Institute is open to persons working in Banking and Finance Institutions which are elected as Institutional members by the Governing Council of the Institute from time to time. Members belonging to such Institutions are only eligible to take the JAIIB/CAIIB examinations offered by the Institute.
However, persons interested in pursuing the other courses offered by the Institute can do so by enrolling for the examinations (except the JAIIB/CAIIB examinations) without taking membership of the Institute.
Recently, the Institute has opened up its membership registration through the online mode since 15th June, 2012. Membership cards are being issued through the zonal offices of the Institute to all the eligible members and others have been informed about the status of their membership application/refund by the Online Registration Cell.
