About Mumbai
Mumbai was named an
alpha world city. It is also the wealthiest city in India, and has the highest
GDP of any city in South, West or Central Asia.
Born on 18.9.1955, Dr. Jibendu Narayan Misra is a Ph.D. in Physics. He joined
the Bank as Probationary Officer in 1979 and has held various key assignments
across circles, including an overseas assignment in London.
He has held such important positions as General Manager, Patna circle; General Manager, Rural
Business (Outreach), Corporate Centre, Mumbai and Chief General Manager of
Mumbai Circle. He was elevated to the post of Dy. Managing Director on
31.07.2013.
He is now Dy. Managing Director and Corporate Development Officer
and heads the largest Human Resource Department of the Banking Industry.
