The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) has been in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Apex Skill Development Centre (TN-ASDC) since 2022. As part of this partnership, TN-ASDC has onboarded 13 IIBF courses aimed at imparting industry-relevant banking and financial skills to candidates across the state.​
Indian Institute of Banking & Finance and the National Forensic Sciences University (MHA, Govt. of India) have signed a Memorandum of Understading (MoU) on 24th February 2025 to foster collaboration in teaching, research, and academic development. ​

The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) successfully conducted the Students’ Conclave – Madurai Edition 2026, hosted by R.L. Institute of Management Studies (A unit of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science) Madurai. The conclave brought together 250+ enthusiastic students from 8 colleges in the region, providing an engaging platform for students to gain insights into the banking and financial services sector, explore career opportunities, and understand the importance of professional development in building successful careers in banking and finance.
A key highlight of the conclave was the Leaders’ Talk by Mr. Deepak Kumar Lalla, CEO, IIBF, who shared valuable insights and perspectives on the evolving banking and financial services industry, career opportunities, and the skills required for young professionals to succeed in the sector. The programme also featured a Student Awareness & Orientation Session by Mr. Bijay Kumar Jha, CDO, IIBF, designed to familiarise students with IIBF’s professional programmes, certifications and the various opportunities available to them in the banking and finance domain. The conclave was highly interactive and participative, with students actively engaging in discussions and gaining a broader understanding of the banking profession and the role of professional certifications in enhancing career prospects.
As part of IIBF’s continued efforts to strengthen its academic and institutional partnerships, IIBF also exchanged MoUs for renewal with two colleges — Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science and Valluvar College of Science and Management. The renewed partnerships will further strengthen collaboration between IIBF and these institutions in promoting banking and financial education among students.
The Students’ Conclave – Madurai Edition 2026 served as a meaningful platform for connecting with young minds, sharing industry perspectives, creating awareness about career opportunities and nurturing the next generation of banking and finance professionals. The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) successfully hosted the Banking L&D Leaders' Meet 2026 on 9th June 2026 in Mumbai under the leadership and guidance of Shri Deepak Kumar Lalla, CEO, IIBF. The event brought together Learning & Development Heads and senior leaders from public and private sector banks, small finance banks, and NBFCs to discuss the future of workforce development in the banking industry.
Themed “Architecting the Future-Ready Banker: Capabilities, Compliance, and Collaboration,” the programme featured a keynote address by Shri Atul Kumar Goel, Chief Executive, Indian Banks' Association (IBA), along with expert sessions on emerging banking trends, AI and digital transformation, professional certifications, workforce transformation, and future-ready training frameworks.

IIBF organised a one-day Coordinators' Meet of our MoU College/Universities titled "Knowledge Connect 2025" on 3rd May 2025 at the IIBF, Mumbai. This event motive was to strengthen engagement with IIBF's MoU colleges and foster collaboration for the effective implementation of IIBF's academic initiatives. IIBF currently has a total of 58 MoUs with colleges/universities.
The programme included presentations by industry experts, interactive discussions on strengthening engagement between IIBF and academic institutions, and hands-on demonstration of exam registration platform, e-learning, mock test, and new initiatives of IIBF towards upskilling professionals and aspiring students.

A 3-Day Trainers’ Training Programme on Pedagogical Excellence & Industry-Relevant Teaching in Banking & Finance was conducted for faculty members from IIBF’s MoU partner colleges. The programme focused on enhancing pedagogical effectiveness, strengthening industry alignment, and improving teaching approaches in Banking and Finance.
The programme received 120 nominations, reflecting strong participation and interest from partner institutions. A special session was delivered by Mr. Shailendra Singh, CGM–HR, Bank of Baroda, providing valuable industry perspectives to the participating faculty members.

The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) successfully organised a one-day Students' Conclave at its office for students from MoU colleges in Mumbai, aimed at strengthening industry-academia engagement and providing meaningful exposure to aspiring banking professionals. The conclave offered students first-hand insights into the role and functioning of IIBF within the banking ecosystem, along with a deeper understanding of how careers in banking operate in practice. The programme focused on familiarising students with industry expectations, the importance of skill development, and the value of professional certifications in building long-term careers in banking and finance. Students were guided on relevant IIBF courses and certification examinations aligned with their career aspirations and were encouraged to pursue them to enhance their professional competence and employability.
