NCVET Course

Fresh enrollment for the next cycle (July 2026 to December 2026) of the NCVET-approved course on “Fundamentals of Retail Banking” is now open until 30th June 2026. For details and to apply, kindly visit: https://www.iibf.org.in/NCVET. The last date to apply for the examination for the NCVET-approved course “Fundamentals of Retail Banking” has been extended till 17th May 2026. All eligible candidates are requested to complete the exam application process within the extended timeline. The exam for the NCVET Approved course on “Fundamentals of Retail Banking” is scheduled on 31st May 2026. Kindly refer to the “Training Result” Tab below, to view the list of candidates who have qualified the training and are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates who have qualified the training sessions are eligible to apply for the exam scheduled on 31st May 2026 by visiting their candidate profile and submitting the “Exam Registration Form.” The registration form will be open from 4th May 2026 (4:00 PM onwards) until 12th May 2026. The link to the candidate profile is available in the tab below. Training sessions for Batch-03 will commence from 14 March 2026 for enrolment numbers 9000261 to 9000390. Training sessions for Batch-04 will commence from 15 March 2026 for enrolment numbers 9000391 to 9000510.Please refer to the “Training Schedule” section below for details. Training sessions for Batch-02 will commence from 07 March 2026 for enrolment numbers 9000131 to 9000260. Please refer to the “Training Schedule” section below for details. About the Collaboration between IIBF & NCVET


The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India is a regulatory body that sets standards and develops regulations for vocational education, training, and skilling in India. IIBF has been recognized by NCVET as an Awarding Body Dual (AB-Dual) in terms of the order dated 30th May 2025. Accordingly, one 4-credit qualification, “Fundamentals of Retail Banking” at NCrF level 4.5 has been designed to enhance vocational competencies in the retail banking sector.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and supports the broader mission of skill development across the financial services industry by providing skill education to the graduate/postgraduate students and converting them as highly trained and talented workforce.

About the Course


The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has introduced essential reforms in the Indian education system, particularly emphasizing skill-based learning for undergraduate students and post graduate students. To align with this requirement, the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) has developed a specialized course titled as ‘Fundamentals of Retail Banking’. The primary objective of this course is to equip learners with the requisite skills and knowledge necessary for proficient performance in various job roles within the retail banking sector which includes positions such as Relationship Managers, Customer Service Executives, Front Desk Managers, Retail Banking Loan Officers, Retail Banking Product Managers, Credit Officers, Credit Appraising Officers, and Customer Service Assistants, among others. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to effectively engage with clients and manage relationships within banks and financial institutions, thereby enhancing their operational competencies in the retail banking landscape.

Notional Hours: 120 hours

48 hours of self-paced e-learning content accessible to all registered candidates.

72 hours of online live training.


Eligibility:

1. Passed 12th grade and 1.5 Years of experience in BFSI sector,

Or

2. Pursuing Graduation in any discipline,

Or

3. Completed Graduation in any discipline,

Or

4. Pursuing Post Graduation in any discipline.
